Baltimore, Md – April. 13, 2007 – Planit, the Baltimore-based marketing communications agency, today announced that it received five awards at the 33rd Annual Best of Baltimore Addy Awards ceremony. The Baltimore Addy Awards are the region’s largest industry competition honoring creative excellence in advertising.

This year, The Addy Award committee received over 450 entries. Planit was awarded gold and silver Addys for the following projects:

  • Two Gold Awards for “Splash of Reality,” a four-color magazine ad campaign for Lothorian
  • Two Gold Awards for “Drink More Water,” a promotional poster campaign for Spectrum Water Coolers
  • Silver Award for “Team Lexus Online,” a flash-based web site designed for Team Lexus
  • Silver Award for “Crab-Kwon-Do Viral Video,” a promotional animation created for the Chesapeake Club
  • Silver Addy for “Pirates of the Caribbean Exploratory Map,” a flash-based micro-site created for Downtown Partnership and Disney
  • Silver Addy for “Reman Animated Product Demo,” a short animated film for Caterpillar

The awards ceremony was held Thursday night at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Jim Astrachan, president of the AAB, hosted the event.
