Baltimore, Md. – April 15, 2005 – Planit®, the Baltimore-based integrated brand communications agency, today announced that it received five awards at the 31st Annual Best of Baltimore Addy Awards banquet. The Baltimore Addy Awards are the region’s largest industry competition honoring creative excellence in advertising.

This year, 49 agencies participated in the regional competition, sponsored by the Advertising Association of Baltimore (AAB). Planit was awarded gold and silver Addys for the following projects:

  • Gold Award for “Wine Tasting,” a media rich email promoting a wine tasting event
  • Gold Award for “Wonderful Time of the Year,” a self-promotional holiday card
  • Silver Award for “Passport,” a business-to-business direct marketing piece created for Nuveen Investments
  • Silver Award for “Sports Legends at Camden Yards,” an HTML Web site designed for Baltimore’s interactive sports museum
  • Silver Award for “Tiki Time,” a media rich email announcing a summer happy hour event

More than 300 attendees gathered at the Maryland Institute College of Art for the annual banquet ceremony. Jim Astrachan, president of the AAB, hosted the event and distributed 170 awards to the winning agencies.

In addition to Planit’s award-winning entries, other recognized advertising included: the Maryland Science Center, US Airways, Utz Quality Foods, Black & Decker and the Baltimore Zoo among others.
