Sr. Project Manager, Digital

SUMMARY 

Planit’s Sr. Digital Project Managers are the day-to-day experts & owners of a project from inception to completion.  These natural born planners are a vital part of the digital deliverables, ensuring that all projects are executed successfully, timely and within budget.  They are the specialists who get things done.  A successful candidate is highly organized, with hyper-focused attention to detail.  They are proactive collaborators across account management, strategy, design and development teams.  They have the ability to map out project plans and requirements, timelines and budgets that are clearly communicated to all internal and external audiences, with creative problem-solving skills and exceptional communication.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages enterprise-level website builds from Discovery to deployment, as well as other digital initiatives such as banners and emails
  • Provides direction and guidance to Junior and Mid-Level PMs
  • Works closely with internal teams to streamline communication and processes
  • Supports and adheres to PM standards to be used across all projects and can identify and help implement changes to said standards when necessary 
  • Reviews existing and emerging processes and technology for implementation into current workflows
  • Participates in new business efforts by providing scopes and estimates for new clients
  • Manages a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple clients
  • Provides on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals by adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor digital initiatives simultaneously
  • Maps out project plans to establish both internal and external expectations and continue to manage said expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Works closely with Development team to align developer skillsets with project needs, create functional and technical specifications, and estimate new website projects
  • Works closely with Planit’s Traffic and Operations team to determine resources, align schedules and ensure all necessary departments are included
  • Guides Website Quality Assurance Associate on how to review and test deliverables
  • Communicates directly with clients to translate web capabilities and limitations
  • Communicates to the internal teams on a regular basis about project statuses, potential risks or obstacles, planned milestones and budget implications
  • Monitors the project budget(s) on a regular basis, updating team members when applicable

TASKS

  • Clearly outlines all project requirements and deliverables
  • Creates realistic project timelines and holds both internal and external teams accountable to specified milestones
  • Assists the appropriate resources to put together estimates for Account Management
  • Assists the appropriate resources to create a detailed and defined Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Attends, participates and at times, leads necessary internal meetings, including team statuses
  • Regularly monitors budget reports to evaluate efficiency and profitability
  • Trains and manages client deliverables in content management systems and collaboration tools
  • Reviews and ensure project deliverables meet specified requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5+ years of experience managing digital and website projects, budgets and timelines within an agency or an in-house creative department
  • Experience managing digital initiatives ranging from email campaigns and website builds to website maintenance and HTML5 banners
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms (such as WordPress or Drupal) platforms & Google suite preferred
  • Ability to plan projects with day-to-day and long term future phases in mind
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Have a creative and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to carefully evaluate situations and make educated decisions with supporting evidence
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and easily adjust to changing priorities
  • Collaborative attitude and team mentality
  • Strong understanding of the creative and QA process
  • Exceptional written and oral communication, including experience presenting to varying audiences
