Media Supervisor

SUMMARY

Serves as a media planner and buyer for all channels, with strong capabilities in both traditional and digital; responsible for developing, negotiating, executing, and monitoring paid media plans designed to meet client goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and implements strategically-sound media plans that go beyond industry best practices to effectively and creatively deliver client messages to the desired customer base
  • Collaborates with digital, creative, social media, public relations and account teams to provide integrated media solutions
  • Consistently surfaces new opportunities and new ways of thinking to contribute to overall agency and client success
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of current industry trends, including the latest technological advances in traditional media tracking and reporting
  • Maintains client relationships while managing expectations and exceeding campaign goals
  • Fosters positive relationships with media vendors to gain a deeper understanding of the available opportunities
  • Facilitates ongoing client campaign success and provides case studies that help Planit to win new business

TASKS

  • Contributes to new business development proposals and participates in pitches as needed
  • Creates and delivers clear, well thought-out and professional media recommendations in a variety of formats
  • Establishes metrics for campaign success and provides detailed reporting based on those criteria
  • Manages vendor billing on a monthly basis and performs reconciliations as required
  • Researches other media and analytics vendors that would be a good fit for Planit’s paid media clients
  • Develops and manages junior staff
  • Accomplishes all other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 6 years media planning/buying experience, preferably within an agency setting
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Able to flexibly manage complex processes in a fast-paced environment while keeping a positive attitude
  • Understanding of common media research and planning tools/software (Advantage, Scarborough and MRI preferred)
  • Able to think beyond “media” and participate as a creative collaborator within an integrated agency
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to foster client, vendor, and internal relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid critical thinking skills 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an eye for detail
