COVID-19 has been officially declared a pandemic. With more illnesses being reported daily and the death toll continuing to rise globally, communicators from every industry have been dusting off their crisis manuals and taking a long hard look at how a global epidemic will impact their businesses, their clients, their employees, and more.

Companies in all sectors across Maryland, but particularly travel and tourism, transportation, hospitality services, food services and public health administration, will be the most impacted by the novel coronavirus in the coming days, weeks and months. However, companies of all sectors should be prepared to communicate with all their relevant audiences about the actions they are taking at this time.
